Generally when I begin a new painting I am driven by an emotion or particular feeling. Usually it is a "Spur of the Moment" kind of a thing, if that makes sense. I never make plans...until now. Typically I paint a piece in one of three ways: Swirly Breast Patterns, Breast Prints or Nipple/Areola Prints. Now in my opinion each technique has its own beauty and I love the end result for whichever technique I choose at the time. This led me to the question "Is it possible to incorporate all three techniques into one piece"?

So I started with the little drawing you see here...it looked "Interesting" to me so I decided to go forward with the idea. It took about an hour to lay the tape down onto the canvas. I was getting quite frustrated with myself, of course, due to wanting all the lines to be even & straight down to the last millimeter.

Tape down and the first Nipple/Areola prints were pressed ever so delicately into place. Here (in the next set of photos) you can see the progression as each color was added. I used mostly Metallics in this piece (Silver, Copper, Bronze, Gold, Aztec Gold) as well as Black & White. I love the way the metallic paints shine & reflect depending upon the angle you view the painting.

With the Nipple/Areola prints complete it was time to start with the Breast Swirling...

...and then finally the the full Breast prints. I was at this point (3 days later) very excited to remove the tape, hoping for nice crisp white edges, only to be very disappointed. The paint had bled through underneath the "painters tape"....Argh!!! At one point I believe I wanted to "stab" and "kill" this painting where it layed on my kitchen table. I knew I would have to murder it, since it was unable to commit suicide itself. Yes I can look back now and laugh at it all, but when I saw the "accident" (which you cannot really see in the photo) I honestly wanted to cry.

My first instinct was to paint in the borders black, but was really unsure if it would make the painting too dark & heavy feeling. And I thank a fellow artist who lent a fresh eye to the subject for the suggestion of a grey. Of course this led to a whole new set of frustrations as to the perfect shade. I spent about 2 hours mixing & swatching before I finally decided upon the shade you see below.

So here you have it, my 168th breast painting, still a little wet at the time of photographing it...but I feel it is a unique, strong, and modern piece of erotic abstract art, created entirely with REAL BREASTS!!
